Earning a driver’s license has long been a rite of passage for teens. We are pleased to offer both in-class instruction and behind-the-wheel driving lessons to teens throughout the Orange County and Los Angeles area.
Our programs provide teen students with a thorough understanding of the California Rules of the Road so that they are ready to take the instruction permit test at a Department of Motor and Vehicles. Our friendly customer service staff works with teens and parents to schedule behind-the-wheel driving lessons with our licensed, professional driving instructors at times that fit teen students’ busy schedules.
In order to obtain a driver’s license as a minor, the state of California requires every teen to complete:
- Full in-class instruction with 6 hours of one-on-one behind-the-wheel training and 6 hours observing a teen partner behind the wheel, OR
- Full in-class instruction with 8 hours of one-on-one behind-the-wheel training.
All of our Drivers Education Teen Programs include the complimentary National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course. Our teen students will receive NSC certification, and Nova will certify each student with the state of Illinois upon completion of their in-class coursework and behind-the-wheel driving lessons.
